The real name of Hekimoğlu Ismail is Ömer Okçu. He used this name because he loved his grandfather very much. He has written many books. There are eight books in the series that I have read. While reading his book, Nature and Technology, I was very curious about beaver dam.
Beavers live in groups, in Canada, Europe, North America, Poland and Russia. The water must be deep for them to nest. For this, they cut trees with their teeth and drop them in the river. When water raise, they build a lodge by using tree branches. “They use their tails as a mason’s trowel for arranging mud and soil when building dams and lodges.”[1] They also use their tails as a rudder while swimming. Every living thing created by God has a unique beauty. People can produce new things by watching these creatures.
Dams are important to people. In order to build a dam, God made beavers teachers for them.
