Where Is This Flow Headed for?

As soon as I realized that the way to get myself out of the swamp I was lost in was as simple as “seeing my hand in front of my face”, I decided to take action. Yes, I call it “take action.” I was aiming to travel from point A to point B in my journey of meanings. What was all this for, and what was all this not for? Hours, months and seasons flew by as I grappled with my questions.

On one hand, those who try to make sense of what is happening in the sky, on the other hand, those who seek answers to what is happening under the sky… Those who seek the truth were working like hardworking ants.

My dreams at night, my hopes during the day… I said that “finding what I lost is as simple as my hand in front of my face.” When I started to make a list of things to accompany me on this journey, I wrote my bike at the top. My belief that movement was a blessing gave strength to my pedaling legs. Wasting no time, I was on my way with a can of water, a piece of bread and my binoculars.

Thanks to my journey, I would break the concrete blocks that I was stuck between and reach the forests that give peace to people from crowded cities. I was pedaling with curiosity and excitement in the quiet forests of Germany. At the sound of the rivers I saw, I was breathing and thinking: Where is this flow headed to?

I was asking the garden flies flying in front of my face: Why are you bothering me? I exist, and so do you. Our Lord created you, us, and everything else. Compared to my height, which is expressed in meters, your height is only six centimeters. I lie on my bed to rest at night, while you rest with the help of your friends who make sacrifices. (Some garden flies stretch their wings, others rest by clinging to them). My late grandfather talked about this wise process when he introduced me to the garden flies in our village. I thought this sacrifice of the garden flies took place in an interesting fairy tale. I was on my way home thinking of flies that have about 120,000 species. This time, not with the dream of a fairy tale, but with the loud voice of the truth.
